We just got the “official” wedding images from Kimmie Krauk of www.zoomphotographyonline.com and this is probably one of my favorites. To see them online, go to www.vanessak.com It sure was a party to remember.

Dreary Wet Weekend Weather
This is the third weekend in a row that it is been wet and miserable. The first two were great opportunities to clean out closets, hang up pictures, re-organize stuff etc., but now I am fully caught up with all that. I am itching to get out and do some photography, but it is impossible in this weather. Leigh and Josh are back from honeymoon and it’s their turn to clean out closets and get organized, since they are leaving for South Korea for their one year teaching gig in less than two weeks.
Next weekend I will be in North Carolina attending a workshop on setting up a studio and working with models, so hopefully I will have some interesting new work to post after that.
Back to walking Logan on Folly Beach
So today was a bonus and I spent it catching up with my ho hum life, like bills and laundry. Later we bundled up (it’s been SO COLD for so long) and took a long walk along Folly Beach. I think I saw about 5 other people on the beach in about an hour of walking. Work tomorrow, and then I’ll take down Christmas decorations over the weeekend.
The party is over …
… and most have all flown away again, except Rebecca whose flight leaves in about 4 hours. The last few days were spent in frenzied shopping sorties. We covered downtown and most malls pretty thoroughly, and at our own pace. The kids rushed around, while Grandma and I wandered, stopping frequently for coffee breaks! This morning, the last morning, we cleaned out the Folly Beach house, packed up, had breakfast at one of my favorite places, The Lost Dog, and made the first airport run of the day. Thanks Cosmo for all your help!

The aftermath
Yesterday was mostly spent getting Leigh and Josh to the airport in the morning, Mandy and Catherine in the afternoon and cleaning up in between. Today we were tourists in Charleston. The South African family contingent always has long shopping lists and so we hit downtown today (with a brief interval over the bridge at Vickery’s, Shem Creek for lunch) and tomorrow we will cover the malls. Matt is taking the girls on a “fast food sampling crawl” in the afternoon. That I can definitely do without.
